Purpose of Voting
Voting reflects authentic community support for a nominee. Results are used to recognize professionals who have earned the trust of the community they serve.
Eligibility to Vote
Any member of the public who meets the age of majority in their jurisdiction and provides a valid email address may vote. Voters may vote once per nominee per day during the contest period.
Voting Frequency
Voters may vote once per nominee per day during the contest period. A voter may support more than one nominee, but only one vote per nominee is counted within a single daily voting period.
A daily voting period is a fixed window that begins at the contest reset time configured by Stylist Award (by default 12:00 AM Eastern Time) and ends when the next reset time begins. Once the reset time passes, a voter may vote again for the same nominee. Votes are always recorded permanently, including votes that are not counted.
Purchases Do Not Affect Voting
Purchasing an award, recognition product, marketing material, or other product from Stylist Award does not increase a nominee’s votes, improve their ranking, or affect winner determination.
Contest Voting Periods
Voting windows open and close on dates published for each active contest. Votes cast outside a published voting window are not counted.
Duplicate Voting
Only the first valid vote per email address, per nominee, per daily voting period is counted. Attempts to circumvent this rule — including throwaway addresses, alias addresses, or automation — may result in the invalidation of all associated votes.
Fraud Detection
We use automated and manual signals to detect fraud, including duplicate submissions, unusual traffic patterns, coordinated activity, and rate-limit violations.
Vote Review
Votes may be reviewed at any time during or after a contest period. We may request additional information from voters or nominees when reviewing suspicious activity.
Disqualified Votes
Votes determined to be fraudulent, duplicative, coerced, or purchased will be removed from the totals. Removed votes are not restored.
Suspicious Activity
Nominees found to have solicited or participated in vote manipulation may be warned, have votes invalidated, be disqualified from a contest, or be removed from the Platform.
Contest Administration
Stylist Award operates each contest, including opening and closing voting, resolving eligibility questions, and interpreting these rules.
Winner Determination
Winners are determined by valid vote totals within each category and market at the close of the voting period, subject to eligibility review.
Tie Handling
When two or more nominees are tied at the close of voting, Stylist Award may recognize each tied nominee, apply a documented tiebreaker, or extend voting as appropriate to the situation.
Publication of Results
Results are published after the review process is complete. We may delay publication when additional review is required.
Investigation & Enforcement
Stylist Award reserves the right to investigate suspected abuse, remove fraudulent votes, disqualify nominees, and take any other action necessary to preserve the integrity of the recognition program.
